Olga Salvatore, leader of the band Manzanero, has been performing for over twenty-five years. Her vocal abilities stem from her opera and choral training as a young woman. After relocating to Hawaii in 2000, she began exploring genres new to her, namely jazz and salsa. Ms. Salvatore regularly performs publicly and privately in venues ranging from small clubs and private homes to major hotels. As her repertoire of Latin dance music grew in size, Ms. Salvatore established Manzanero, a band dedicated to performing Latin dance sounds. "Manzanero" is her maternal grandmother's maiden name. It is a strong Latin name with Spanish gypsy roots. Her ethnicity is approximately half Latin in origin, so she is right at home performing Latin music.
